PETER MURANE

President and Founder

Peter's expertise in brand management and innovation is built on an entrepreneurial foundation and 20 years of business experience. With his flexible approach to creative problem solving, Peter has led new product innovation processes, product launches and positioning strategies for The Clorox Company, General Mills, Procter & Gamble, Orange Glo, Arm & Hammer, Verizon, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and many others. In fact, his product launch work with The Clorox Company now represents more than $400 million in annual Clorox sales. Still, he's happiest rolling up his sleeves and creating new products and building growth businesses.

Peter has authored articles and/or spoken on entrepreneurship, innovation, advertising and brand strategy for Advertising Age, BrandWeek, Inc Magazine, Denver Business Journal, the DMA, Frost & Sullivan, The Advertising Show, The University of Colorado and Denver University. He also literally wrote the book on how to win at innovation by embracing a more—you guessed it—entrepreneurial approach.

KIP TINSTMAN

VP of Operations

If BrandJuice has a Matrix, then Kip is our Neo. As a member of the leadership team, Kip is the guiding force behind the company's infrastructure and operations, as well as the creative force behind the systems that track and measure our work. His innovative approach has been crucial to maximizing our profitability, optimizing our efficiency and ensuring BrandJuice is forward-thinking in every aspect of its business and exceptional on every level of client service.

Kip has an extensive background in entrepreneurial ventures and has started, operated, and divested in three separate businesses. After graduating with an MBA from Vanderbilt University, Kip spent seven years managing operations in the retail industry and three years in the wholesale industry, nurturing his passion for fly-fishing along the way. And while Kip can't fly like Neo in The Matrix, he's doing the next best thing—climbing every 14,000 foot peak in Colorado.

MINDY JAOUEN

Practice Director

Mindy is the driving force behind BrandJuice Battle Testing®. Since joining BrandJuice in 2006, Mindy has led positioning, product pipeline development and Battle Testing® trials for Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, Clorox, General Mills and more. She is the secret to the success of our Battle Testing® service, using her expertise in positioning, innovation, and “the art of pitching” to turn it into a best-in-class, data-driven research methodology for the CPG industry.

Mindy's Battle Testing® philosophy was formed during previous work leading public relations strategy and media relations for more than a dozen product launches in three years. Not only did she work on brands like OxiClean, Orange Glo, Kaboom, General Motors and Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy, she worked directly with the infamous pitch master Billy Mays. With her fervent desire for discovery, meticulous attention to detail and mastery of both branding and public relations, Mindy creates more than Ideas People Buy. She also creates the buzz that spreads those ideas and motivates buyers.

LAURIE RIDER

Lead Strategist

Laurie lives way off the beaten path in the mountains. Where you've got a bigger outdoor canvas for your imagination. But where you also need to be practical and respectful to stay well. That potent mix of imagination, insight and practical knowledge are Laurie's most valuable skills.

As a lead strategist, Laurie has brought key insights to life and translated them into practical strategy for clients like Hunter Douglas, Dr Pepper Snapple Group and General Mills. Her deep experience spans all facets of marketing, from qualitative market research to managing advertising campaigns, in a wide variety of industries including consumer packaged goods, IT, medical, travel and tourism and the non-profit sector. Add to that an MBA in entrepreneurship and marketing and assisting several professors with grading at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and you've got real-world experience and academic prowess all in one. No wonder a little mountain living doesn't scare her at all.

HEATHER RANDALL

Lead Consultantt

BrandJuice is big on immersion. We believe in getting up close and personal with people to learn their true motivations and behaviors. Like living in South America for a while. Like Heather did.

Early in her career, Heather lived and worked in Ecuador and Venezuela. She then built on her bilingual foundation to become Multicultural Senior Account Planner for the Hispanic Ford Division. Over seven years at JWT, she developed positioning and brand strategy, co-authored business plans, and identified new marketing opportunities. Her move to Denver began two years as a Senior Account Planner at McClain Finlon Advertising, building the department while also providing guidance to clients like Western Union, Johns Manville, Breckenridge Resort and Qwest Communications. Since then, Heather has broadened her multicultural experiences with BrandJuice engagements for Procter & Gamble in Brazil and for the Indian market. But it's her newest immersion experiment—parenthood—that might make the others look tame in comparison.

MARIE PROTO

Lead Consultant

As an MBA and someone who has hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back in 24 hours, Marie knows how to focus her energy for the best results. She's done it at agencies like Tribal DDB and The Integer Group for clients like Procter & Gamble, MillerCoors, Chili's, AT&T and U.S. Air Force. She's also done it for mass retailers through a proprietary branding system that helped create private label wines specifically targeted to a retailer's customers. Her diverse experience across industries and channels, from interactive healthcare initiatives to NASCAR-sponsored retail initiatives, demonstrate her adventurous side as much as her enthusiasm for rappelling. Now, if only she could commute by zip line.
